With a strong background in sales, business and financial management, he has a proven track record of success. His experience includes founding and operating Humming Bird Leadership, a leadership consulting and coaching firm serving clients worldwide. Before joining Topica, Max served as CEO at PrivateExpress, where he built the world's first "Digital Courier Delivery" Company, the "FedEx of the Internet". During this time he was also the Chairman of Stardust Technologies for over 7 years which was sold to Penton Media in 1999. Prior to Private Express, Max held the position of President and Chief Operating Officer for Fabrik Communications (sold to Critical Path), where he grew the organization from 5 to 75 people in a two-year period to create the leading business messaging company as measured by the Electronic Messaging Association (EMA). He also worked closely with Steve Jobs for 4 and a half years to help build NeXT Computer which was eventually sold to Apple for 400 million+.
